قهرمانی نماینده ایران در رقابتهای تکواندو نوجوانان جهان در بلعارستان که تمامی رقبا را شکست داد و مدال طلای مسابقان را از آن خود کرد.
در این مرحله توانست در یک دیداری تماشایی 2 بر صفر(8 بر صفر، 5 اخطاره شدن حریف) «جانگ» از کره جنوبی را از پیش رو برداشت و به دیدار پایانی راه پیدا کرد. شیری در مبارزه برای کسب مدال طلا «گورباز» از ترکیه را در دو راند متوالی شکست داد و عنوان قهرمانی و مدال طلا را از آن خود کرد.
